100th Anniversary

Post by LeftyBass » Mon Aug 20, 2012 1:42 pm

Our band "Link River Ramblers", performed yesterday for the Fort Klamath Methodist Church's 100th anniversary celebration. The audience liked what we did, and the organizers were quite happy also. They hinted pretty strongly that it was not likely to be our last performance there! We alternated sets with an acapella group from Sonoma County, CA. Some of the singers even joined us on stage for a few songs.

It gave us the chance to do many more gospels than we'd normally do, which we always enjoy. Plus - we debuted our version of "Turn Your Radio On" - which was a huge hit with the audience. Got paid with a free barbeque lunch and potluck. Yumm, yumm.

I think I have more fun at some of the church shows than at larger festivals; especially when the audience gets into it!
