I'm sure you've either found one already or quit looking, but I will be looking at a bass in a couple of days that has a wire mute on it. If I buy the thing, the mute is yours if you want it. No charge.

If you are still looking I bought my wire mute from Gohilers a couple of months ago. So you can get one there if you are still looking.
