Re: I've come back from the dead...with a Pick-Up Question.

Thanks for the input guys.

I'm thinking the original as well, but I wanted to check. I'm kinda like you Wineaux, I've had such good luck with the original I don't want to change, but I'm also a gear head.

I've come back from the dead...with a Pick-Up Question.

First off...for those of you who remember me, yes I'm still alive, I just have been trying to limit the amount of internet I'm committed too. lol. I've been using a Realist Pickup for years (added the docking station a few months ago) and it has worked great for what I needed live. In the studio I'm...

Re: Big Bass power

We use 2 JBL 18" Powered Subwoofers, and we run them out of AUX 2 on our Mixer Board. Then on my bass channel we keep the fader all the way down and turn me up in AUX 2 only. All my sound goes out through those. Everything else goes through the tops. Works real nice.

LRB - Late Show

Hey folks. Just a heads up for those who may not have heard... Heard from Brandon earlier this week and he said the Lonesome River Band will be on The Late Show with David Letterman this Friday Night, 11/11/11. They recorded today, but I haven't heard from him yet as to what they played, or if they ...

Interesting Pickup

I talked to this guy last week (even though the picture is from April). He only plays Upright on 1 song, so said it's easier to do this and not deal with feedback issues. I was telling him about Realists and he's considering getting one and blending the two. Either way, i found this very interesting...

Re: fretless bass strings

I use LaBella Flatwound on one of my eletrics (not a fretless) and love them. I use LaBella Tapewound on my Fretless and like them alot too, but I like the flatwounds a little more.

Re: Interesting experiment

Wineaux: This is difficult, but it's also and very rewarding and great way to write songs, if you and the other person "click". This is how we have written many songs in my band. A lot of times that other perspective can take songs in an even better direction than the orignal person could have imagi...

Re: 5th's Tuning

I played one of my Electrics for a while tuned like that. It was fun and I really liked it, but it didn't do me much good on the bands I was in so I got away from, it. If I ever get a 5-string again though I'm tuning it with the High C instead of the Low B. I really liked having that Higher string.

Re: logged back in!!

I had the same problem. I was beginning to think I has been banished for not being Bluegrass enough, until I got a hold in Wineaux on Facebook and he said I wasn't the only one. :D

Glad to be back!
